The Creative Dimension Trust has announced the tutors for the Etching and Silversmithing Workshops planned for February and March 2017.

The Etching Workshop will be taught by Laura Clarke, who will teach the fundamentals of etching, a process that has been used for hundreds of years.

Laura graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Fine Art Printmaking in 2010. In 2012, she became a Print Tutor at City & Guilds of London Art School and was made a Fellow at the Royal Academy Schools.

The Silversmithing Workshop will be led by Angus MacFayden, chairman of the Hand Engraver’s Association of Great Britain.

Students will learn the art of beating metal to change its form. As well as working on individual pieces, students will work on a larger collaborative project.

The workshops will be held on the 18th, 25th February, 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th March 2017.
