2019: REGENCY WAISTCOAT MAKING – LONDON

Dates: The workshop ran each Saturday for five weeks from the 23rd February 2019 to the 23rd March 2019.

Workshop Information

On this course Students will be cutting and making a waistcoat in the style of films such as Pride and Prejudice, Les Miserables, Peterloo and Vanity Fair.

Using traditional tailoring techniques they cut and sewed a full waistcoat learning the hand and machine sewing skills involved in making a professional period costume for film or TV. They also discussed some of the history related to this period of clothing.

This workshop is for 16 to 18 year olds.
