2019: WOOD TURNING

Venue: Building Crafts College, London

Dates: This workshop ran from Monday the 12th August until Friday the 16th August 2019.

Workshop Information

What is Wood Turning?

Woodturning is a unique form of woodworking that uses a tool called a lathe . In all other forms of woodworking, the wood is still and it is the tool that is moving to create cuts. The lathe is a machine, originally invented over 3,000 years ago, that holds and rotates a material like wood or stone so that it can be quickly carved with sharp tools.
