Dates: This workshop ran for 4 days from Tuesday 2nd August 2022 until Friday 5th August 2022.
Beginners and students of all levels will be able to learn or improve their sewing skills! A no fuss, easy approach will help students create unique clothes that fit and also make beautiful, inexpensive gifts and accessories.
Students will be lucky enough to attend this four day workshop at the historic Clothworkers’ Hall and will be given a tour of the Hall during the week.

This workshop will be run by the highly experienced Creative Dimension Trust tutor Jose Hendo. Jose is passionate about eco-sustainability and promotes awareness of our impact on the environment. Slow fashion is one of the ways to reduce textile waste – understanding what goes into the making of a garment is important.
Students must report for group teaching at 10am. Classes will finish at approximately 4:30pm.
Transferable Skills and Future Careers
TCDT workshops give a chance to develop a range of transferable skills and valuable insight to possible career paths. Some of the career choices our alumni have pursued include; Architecture, Engineering, Fine Art, Jewellery Making, Art Conservation, Glass Working, Theatre Design, Fashion Design, Costume Design – the list is growing!
In order to be eligible to apply you will need to be 16 – 19 years old during the dates of the workshop.
You should be creative and have good hand-eye co-ordination. In your application you should demonstrate a passion for working with your hands.
You must be able to attend every day of the workshop.

Our workshops are fully-funded by generous sponsors. Places are limited, therefore, we recommend you submit your application as early as possible.
