Workshop Information
Course outline
In this 5 day course you will learn how to operate a table top 4 shaft loom.
You will be guided through the process of selecting appropriate materials, based on your own artwork or an image of your choosing. After being introduced to ancient and traditional weaving structures, you will experiment and practice weaving your own cloth on the looms.
At the end of this 5 day course you will have a selection of woven samples that you have designed and made yourself alongside a knowledge of how cloth is woven and has been woven for centuries.
This course would suit anyone with an interest in textiles, art or practical crafts. You do not need any previous experience, although you are welcome to join if you do have some.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply you will need to be 16 – 19 years old during the dates of the workshop.
You should be creative and have good hand-eye co-ordination. In your application you should demonstrate a passion for working with your hands.
You must be able to attend every day of the workshop.
