Dates: This workshop will run on Saturdays for five weeks from Saturday 4th November 2022 until Saturday 2nd December 2023. If the workshop becomes oversubscribed, we will close the application process early.
During this online workshop, students will design and create an embroidery on a denim piece of clothing from their wardrobe – this could be jeans, a baseball cap, jacket, shorts or anything made of denim! A variety of embroidery threads, including metallic, will be used during this workshop.
Successful applicants will receive a kit of materials for this workshop.
This course will be run by Creative Dimension Tutor Amy Burt.
Amy also works as a freelance embroiderer in the fashion industry. She worked as a Senior Embroiderer at the British Haute Couture fashion house Ralph & Russo for over 4 years and often freelances for fashion houses such Alexander McQueen and Erdem.
This workshop will start daily at 10am and finish at approximately 4:30pm.

TCDT workshops give a chance to develop a range of transferable skills and valuable insight to possible career paths. Some of the career choices our alumni have pursued include; Architecture, Engineering, Fine Art, Jewellery Making, Art Conservation, Glass Working, Theatre Design, Fashion Design, Costume Design – the list is growing!
In order to be eligible to apply you will need to be 14 – 19 years old during the dates of the workshop.
You should be creative and have good hand-eye co-ordination. In your application you should demonstrate a passion for working with your hands.
You must be able to attend every day of the workshop.
