Workshop Information
Course Outline
In this workshop, students will learn writing techniques used to create italic calligraphy. By focusing on the distinct stroke patterns for both lowercase and uppercase letters, participants will develop confidence in writing as a movement-based skill. By the end of the session, you will have produced beautifully crafted designs that can be transferred onto personal projects such as birthday cards, signs, and banners.
TCDT Tutor, Jenny Collier has worked at London Scribes for over 13 years and assumed leadership of the company in 2022. During this time, London Scribes has held the Royal Warrant and had the honour of inscribing thousands of names on the invitations for the Coronation in 2023.
Timings
This workshop will start at 10am and finish at approximately 12:30pm.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply you will need to be 14 – 19 years old during the dates of the workshop.
You should be creative and have an interest in the careers listed above, or similar areas. You should also have good hand-eye co-ordination.
In your application you should demonstrate a passion for working with your hands.
You must be able to attend every day of the workshop.
