Venue: Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly, London
Dates: This workshop ran for one day on Tuesday 8th August 2023.
The third of a series of employment programme workshops run in collaboration with Fortnum & Mason.
This session will explore what it is like working within the store’s Buying and Finance departments.
Buying is all about how you choose a specific product to sell.
Finance is all about crunching numbers. They are responsible for how the business keeps accounts of all the money coming in and out of the business.
Each Fortnums x TCDT Employment Programme workshop will consist of having two different departments speaking to students about their role and growth in the business, what they love doing and some of the challenges. They will also offer career advice should the students wish to grow their career in the said departments. There will be Q&A sessions with each speaker so students can ask specific questions. The session will be followed by lunch.
This workshop will start at 9:45am and finish at approximately 12:45pm (includes lunch).
