2021: Wood Turning

Venue: Building Crafts College, London

Dates: This workshop ran from Monday 26th July 2021 until Friday 30th  July 2021.

Workshop Information

Course Outline

Woodturning is a unique form of woodworking that uses a tool called a lathe. In all other forms of woodworking, the wood is still, and it is the tool that is moving to create cuts. The lathe is a machine, originally invented over 3,000 years ago, that holds and rotates a material like wood or stone so that it can be quickly carved with sharp tools.

Working with Creative Dimension Trust tutor Patrick Lear, you will develop skills in this ancient but ever relevant craft.
