Workshop Information

Course outline

During this brand new, one-day Engineering Drawing workshop, students will be introduced to engineering drawing by hand and will also have the opportunity to learn to draw with Computer-aided design (CAD).

Sketching allows engineers to communicate complex ideas in simple forms. These can range from fast, concise sketches on site to detailed, analytical sketches prepared in the office.

The morning session of the course will focus on hand sketches used for concept design, explaining load paths through the structure and creating simple details

Revit empowers engineers to express intricate concepts digitally. From quick conceptual sketches to detailed analytical modelling, the software facilitates seamless communication and coordination among various disciplines within the client’s design team.

The afternoon session of this course explores using Revit for conceptual design, generating informative plans, sections, and elevations, while also delving into material exploration and grid variations to refine your unique design.
