Workshop Information
Course Outline
Create creatures to highlight endangered animals.
This course will teach how to take a 2-dimensional image and transform it into 3-dimensions through the making of toy endangered animals. Students will begin with a simple practice animal and then move onto creating more complicated shapes of their own choice.
They will be encouraged to bring their own drawings or ideas for animals. Beginning with a base pattern to adapt into the desired shape, they will learn to make samples and adapt them till the perfect shape is reached.
Students will then cut and stitch the final animal shape in fabrics of their choice, and learn how to make articulated joints and to decorate their toys with patterns and textures.
All materials and patterns will be supplied.
