Insight Day Information

Students are invited to an exclusive Insight Day with Thomas Lyte, the Royal Warrant-holding luxury design company renowned for handcrafting exceptional silverware and for its role in designing, creating and restoring many of the world’s most prestigious sporting trophies including the Emirates FA Cup, the Ryder Cup, and the Rugby World Cup. This unique opportunity offers a behind-the-scenes look into the craftsmanship, creativity and innovation that underpin one of Britain’s leading goldsmithing and silversmithing businesses.

What the day will include:

  • An introduction to the Thomas Lyte brand
  • A guided tour of the workshop, providing insight into the journey from initial concept through to finished piece, including an exploration of modern 3D design techniques
  • A hands-on making session, where students will create and take home their own small piece
  • An interactive Q&A session with members of the Thomas Lyte team

Based in London, Thomas Lyte combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology to create bespoke silverware and internationally recognised trophies for some of the world’s most celebrated sporting events. As a Royal Warrant holder, the company is recognised for its commitment to excellence, innovation and British craftsmanship.

Timings

This Insight Day will start at 10am and finish at approximately 1pm.

 

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this opportunity, students must be aged between 16-21 years old. Please be sure that you have read our Eligibility Criteria and Applications section at the bottom of the Work Experience page before applying.

 

Course Funding
Our workshops and work experience opportunities are fully-funded by generous sponsors. There are only 6 places available, therefore, we recommend you submit your application as early as possible.
