Work Experience Information
During this one week work experience placement, you will have the opportunity to:
- Shadow an engineer to get a ‘day in the life’ perspective and attend a site visit
- Shadow a technician to understand their role and gain an insight to Heyne Tillett Steel’s apprenticeship scheme
- Complete a small engineering project – there will be an engineer on hand to ask for help if needed
- Assist the Team Coordinators and undertake a typical research project
- Spend time with the marketing department to understand their role in the business

Timings
Office hours are 9am – 5.30pm (vegetarian lunches are provided throughout the week).
Location
Heyne Tillett Steel are based in Hoxton, the nearest tube station Old Street.
Dress Code
The dress code is smart casual. PPE will be provided for any site visits.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for this opportunity, students must be aged between 16-20 years old.
- You must be able to attend every day of the work experience.
