Spring 2026: Gilding Workshop with The Royal Collection Trust

This Workshop ran on 19 February 2026

Students spent a morning at the Royal Collection Trust Gilding Workshop and were given an introduction to laying gold leaf. They were taken on a tour of the venue visiting the Furniture, Metals and Ceramics workshops before spending a couple of hours learning how to lay 23.5ct gold leaf in the Gilding workshop.

Spring 2026: Enamelling

This Workshop ran 16 February 2026 – 20 February 2026

During this workshop, students were taught techniques including shaping, bending, hammering, sawing, soldering, texturing and enamelling, using materials such as silver, copper and brass.

Autumn 2025: AHMM Architectural Drawing

This Workshop ran on 28 October 2025

In this half-day workshop, students were given an introduction to architectural drawing techniques and technical skills used by AHMM architects including use of perspective, plans and elevations. Students were able to experiment with different kinds of architectural drawing including sketching the London cityscape from the AHMM rooftop.
