Summer 2025: Careers In Food Day with Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly, London, This workshop ran for one day on Thursday 28^th August 2025. Age Range: 16 – 19 years old.
During this workshop students had the chance to design a hypothetical item of food with a Chef, Buyer and Marketeer at Fortnum & Mason before pitching their ideas 'Apprentice' style!

Summer 2025: Architectural Drawing – Facades and Ornamentation

Bow Road Studios, London E3, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 18^th August 2025 until Friday 22^nd August 2025. Age Range: 14 – 19 years old.
In this workshop students learned to draw architectural elements including decorative corbels, horseshoes arches and ionic capitals. They used traditional tools including compass and straight edge, technical drawings were taught stage by stage.

Summer 2025: 2D Techniques – Realistic Drawing

Cockpit Arts, Bloomsbury, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 18^th August 2025 until Friday 22^nd August 2025. Age Range: 16 – 19 years old.
Students learned a variety of techniques for creating drawings with realistic highlights, shadows and textures.

Summer 2025: Engineering Drawing

Heyne Tillett Steel, London, N1, This workshop ran for one day on Tuesday 19^th August 2025. Age Range: 16 – 19 years old.
During this one-day Engineering Drawing workshop, students were introduced to engineering drawing by hand and also had the opportunity to learn to draw with Computer-aided design (CAD).

Summer 2025: Sculpture, Creature/Character Creation for Film

Zone Creations Ltd, London SW19, This workshop ran on Saturdays for two weeks from Saturday 9^th August 2025 until Saturday 16^th August 2025. Age Range: 16 – 19 years old.
This hands-on workshop explored the art of sculpting original creatures and characters for film. Students learned techniques to design and model fantastical or realistic beings, guided by principles of anatomy, storytelling, and cinematic design.

Summer 2025: Marbling

Cockpit Arts, Deptford, This workshop ran for three days from Wednesday 13^th August 2025 until Friday 15^th August 2025. Age Range: 14 – 19 years old.
During this workshop, students learned a variety of different marbling techniques - including Suminagashi ink marbling, Turkish Ebru and European marbling.

Summer 2025: 2D Techniques – Scale Drawing

Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, London SW1W, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 11^th August 2025 until Friday 15^th August 2025. Age Range: 16 – 19 years old.

Summer 2025: Hat Making

Lock & Co., London SW1A, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 11^th August 2025 until Friday 15^th August 2025. Age Range: 16 – 19 years old.
During this workshop, students learned some of the skills and processes of making and repairing a hat. They spent time with a Master Hatter from Lock & Co., the oldest hat shop in the world and the oldest shop in London, learning how to steam, brush, polish and repair hats.

Summer 2025: Introduction To Architectural Sketch Modelling

Make Architects, London, This workshop ran for one day on Thursday 14^th August 2025. Age Range: 16 – 19 years old.
In this one-day workshop with London based practice Make Architects, students learned basic architectural drawing principles and hands-on model making techniques. Through guided experimentation and design iteration they transformed 2D design concepts into 3D sketch models - bringing their visions of a kiosk or pavilion to life!

Summer 2025: Enamelling

The Goldsmiths’ Centre, London, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 11^th August 2025 until Friday 15^th August 2025. Age Range: 14 – 19 years old.
During this workshop, students were taught techniques including shaping, bending, hammering, sawing, soldering, texturing and enamelling, using materials such as silver, copper and brass.
