Spring 2025: An Introduction to Footwear Design

Cockpit Arts, Bloomsbury, This workshop ran for one day on Wednesday 9th April 2025.
In this immersive experience, aspiring designers and shoe enthusiasts were invited to explore the art of footwear creation. Over the course of this workshop, students gained hands-on experience in conceptualising, designing, and prototyping their own shoe designs.

Spring 2025: Introduction To Architecture with Allies & Morrison

Allies & Morrison Architects, SE1 0HX, This workshop ran for half a day on Monday 7th April 2025.
This half day Introduction to Architecture workshop consisted of varying presentations about working in the architectural world and finished with a model making session.

Spring 2025: Jewellery Making

The Goldsmiths’ Centre, London, This workshop ran on Saturdays for five weeks from Saturday 1st March 2025 until Saturday 29th  March 2025.
Working with precious metal is an exciting process, and in this course students had the opportunity to learn about the craft of silver jewellery making with jeweller Paul Ravn.

Spring 2025: Stone Carving

Building Crafts College, London, This workshop ran on Saturdays for five weeks from Saturday 1st March 2025 until Saturday 29th March 2025.
Students were introduced to the hand tools and techniques for working stone in this five-week introductory course to stone carving for beginners.

Spring 2025: Bookbinding – The Art of the Book

Shepherds, London, SW1V 1HU, This workshop ran for one day on Sunday 23rd March 2025.
In this unique one day course, students learned the basics of the ancient craft, bookbinding. Students were given the opportunity to develop skills that have been employed in making books for hundreds of years, using materials from a beautiful selection of book cloth and decorative papers to create their own bespoke cover for a book.

Spring 2025: New Pattern Making / Classic Tailoring

Cockpit Arts, Bloomsbury, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 17th February 2025 until Friday 21st February 2025.
Have you ever wondered what goes into the cutting and making of high fashion garments? This course guided students through the techniques used by designers to make inspiring 3D details in cloth. Panels, layers, pockets, collars and cuffs, design detailing creates the architecture of a garment!

Spring 2025: Gilding with The Royal Household

Buckingham Palace, London, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 17th February 2025 until Friday 21st February 2025.
In this Gilding & Marquetry Workshop students discovered the delicate art of applying ultra-thin layers of wood to create an intricate design. They also learned traditional gilding techniques to apply 23 carat gold to a presentation frame to accompany their marquetry piece.

Spring 2025: Special Effects Makeup for Film & TV

Bow Road Studios, London E3, This workshop ran for three days from Tuesday 18th February 2025 until Thursday 20th February 2025.
In this course students learned the foundations of how to apply silicone prosthetics. They learned what prosthetics are, the different ways they are used within makeup and within the film industry, and the key skills required to paint and apply simple silicone prosthetics safely and effectively for a film context.

Spring 2025: Masterclass in Patisserie Skills with Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly, London, This workshop ran for one day on Thursday 20th February 2025.
During this one-day workshop students were taught Patisserie skills by an expert Fortnum & Mason Patisserie chef.

Spring 2025: Jacobean Crewelwork Embroidery

Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, London SW1W, This workshop ran for four days from Saturday 15th February 2025 until Tuesday 18th February 2025.
This four-day workshop focused on Jacobean crewelwork embroidery. Students learned the history of this traditional art form and mastered a variety of foundational stitches. Beginners gained essential hand embroidery skills, while those with experience had the opportunity to expand their knowledge and technique.
