ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, SELECTION, AND APPLICATIONS

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must

  • Unless otherwise specified, be 16 years old prior to the beginning of the work experience opportunity.
  • Be able to make their own way to and from the venue throughout their placement.
  • Be available for the entire day, every day, for the duration of their placement.

 

Selection

Applicants must demonstrate

  • Passion for working with their hands.
  • Talent, creative flair, and good hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Interest in pursuing further study or a career in the craft sector, or another field (e.g. architecture, engineering) where skills offered would be beneficial.
  • Commitment to completing the work experience in full. Applicants who drop out last minute or miss days are denying others a special opportunity, and therefore will be not be permitted to participate in further Creative Dimension Trust offerings. World-leading craft specialist are giving their time to teach and there are more applicants than places, so successful applicants have a responsibility to make the most of the opportunity.

 

Applications

  • When applying, you will be asked to fill out an application form explaining why a career in the relevant sector could be right for you.
  • Applications are assessed by the Trust on an individual basis. Due to the volume of interest, we are unfortunately unable to give individual feedback on rejections.
  • Applications are assessed by the Trust on an individual basis, and all decisions are final.
  • Decisions will be sent via email. Please ensure you check your email regularly, and that you also check your junk folder.
  • If you are offered a place, but we do not hear from you within the deadline, your place may be given to somebody else.
