This Work Experience ran 29 July 2024 – 21 August 2024

Monday 29th July until Thursday 1st August 2024 and Tuesday 20th August until Wednesday 21st August 2024. Two students spent time with award-winning architectural practice, Emrys Architects, and had the opportunity to tackle a variety of tasks ranging from hand-drawing, CAD-drawing, BIM Modelling, 3D modelling or 3D printing. Work Experience Information

Emrys Architects are an award-winning architectural practice, covering a range of work across London and the South-East. Emrys are a growing practice of 32 staff, working on a range of projects from retrofit and new-build to office and residential.

Emrys has developed a portfolio of high-profile cultural, residential and commercial buildings peppered with tiny, quirky projects – all approached with the same intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and flair

During the week of work experience, students will get to tackle a variety of tasks ranging from hand-drawing, CAD-drawing, BIM Modelling, 3D modelling or 3D printing. Other aspects of the experience include participation in design meeting and site visits to projects under construction. Mentorship will be under the guise of staff with a range of architectural qualifications, including Jay Patel, TCDT Alumnus.

Eligibility Criteria
  • To apply for this opportunity, students must be aged between 16-20 years old.
  • You must be able to attend every day of the work experience.
  • Please be sure that you have read our Eligibility Criteria and Applications section at the bottom of the Work Experience page before applying.

 

Course Funding
Our workshops and work experience opportunities are fully-funded by generous sponsors.  Places are limited, therefore, we recommend you submit your application as early as possible.
