2024: Architecture with Allford Hall Monaghan Morris

This Work Experience ran 29 July 2024 – 2 August 2024

Monday 29th July until Friday 2nd August 2024. One student had the opportunity to spend a week with one of the most prestigious Architectural firms in the U.K.

2024: Jewellery Making

This Work Experience ran 15 July 2024 – 17 July 2024

Monday 15th July until Wednesday 17th July 2024. One student attended this three day work experience with Ravn School of Arts & Crafts where they had the opportunity to work with the highly skilled Goldsmiths’ Company Fellow Paul Ravn, and gain an insight into how a professional jewellery studio works.

2024: Bookbinding

This Work Experience ran 24 June 2024 – 28 June 2024

Monday 24th June until Friday 28th June 2024. One student had the opportunity to spend a week learning the ancient craft of bookbinding with the team at Shepherds bindery in London. Shepherds is one of the oldest bookbinding companies in England specialising in fine binding, restoration and the conservation of books and manuscripts.

2024: Leather Making

This Work Experience ran on 15 February 2024

Thursday 15th February 2024. Students joined world-renowned designer and craftsman, Bill Amberg, for an afternoon. Bill shared his extensive knowledge on the history and sustainability of leather used in the creation of bespoke leather products, interiors and furniture.
