2021: Jewellery Making

The Goldsmiths’ Centre, London, This workshop ran from Monday 23^rd August 2021 until Friday 27^th August 2021.
During this workshop, students learned traditional techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering and annealing to complete a personal piece of jewellery to take home. See photos from the workshop here.

2021: SILHOUETTE DECORATION FOR WINDOW DISPLAY

Online, This workshop ran from Tuesday 24^th August 2021 until Thursday 26^th August 2021.
In this online workshop, students designed and painted a silhouette that will be reproduced as part of a window display at a famous store in Piccadilly, London. See photos from the workshop here.

2021: PAINTING WITH SPECIALIST BRUSHES – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Monday 16^th August 2021 until Friday 20^th August 2021.
In this course, students experimented with a different brush each day, eventually using all of the brushes and learned techniques to paint an image in their last session.

2021: Marbling

Dulwich College, London, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 16^th August 2021 until Friday 20^th August 2021.
In this fast-paced and energetic course, students were guided through a variety of different marbling techniques, gradually building up their technical skill. They learned Japanese suminagashi and traditional combed patterns, as well as expressive swirls and modern wave techniques. See photos from the workshop here.

2021: Sign Writing on Skateboards

Dulwich College, London, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 16^th August 2021 until Friday 20^th August 2021.
Students learned how to paint a box or skateboard using traditional, timeless brushwork and pinstriping techniques.

2021: Ceramic Tile Making

Dulwich College, London, This workshop ran for three days from Tuesday 17^th August 2021 until Thursday 19^th August 2021.
During this three-day course students designed and decorated their own set of bespoke wall tiles. After learning traditional practices such as tubelining, students worked collaboratively to create a tile panel to be included in a window display at Fortnum & Mason. 2021: Gilding on Leather – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Monday 9^th August 2021 until Friday 13^th August 2021.
In this workshop, students learned about the history of gilding on leather - a skill which has existed since the early centuries A.D.

2021: Bejewelled Beasts, Marionette Puppet Making – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Monday 9^th August 2021 until Friday 13^th August 2021.

In this course, taught by Creative Dimension Trust tutor Sian Kidd, students created their own Marionettes, inspired by insects, all while developing a range of exciting new skills. See photos from the workshop here.

2021: ARCHITECTURAL MODEL MAKING

Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects, London, This workshop ran for three dates over July and August 2021.
Three lucky students had the opportunity to learn the art of Architectural modelling in an exciting and creative environment, with uninterrupted guidance from one of Allford Hall Monaghan Morris’ senior in-house model makers. See photos from the workshop here.

2021: ENAMELLING AND FLOWER MAKING WITH METAL

The Goldsmiths’ Centre, London, This workshop ran from Monday 9^th August 2021 until Friday 13^th August 2021.
For this workshop students were taught techniques including shaping, bending, hammering, sawing, soldering, texturing and enamelling. Materials used included silver, copper and brass. See photos from the workshop here.
