2021: Embroidery – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Saturday 6^th February 2021 until Saturday 6^th  March 2021.

​During this workshop, led by Creative Dimension Trust tutor Amy Burt, students designed and created an embroidery pattern on a denim piece of clothing from their wardrobe. See photos from this workshop here.

2021: PAINTING WITH SPECIALIST BRUSHES – Online

Online, This workshop ran on Saturdays for five weeks from Saturday 6^th February 2021 until Saturday 6^th  March 2021.
In this course, students experimented with a different brush each week, eventually using all of the brushes and learned techniques to paint an image in their last session.

2021: Plant People, Marionette Puppet Making – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Tuesday 16^th February 2021 until Thursday 18^th  February 2021.

In this course, taught by Creative Dimension Trust tutor Sian Kidd, students created their own Marionettes, developing a range of exciting new skills. See photos from this workshop here.

2021: CONTEMPORARY SUGAR AND GUM PASTE FLOWERS & INSECTS – Online

Online, This online workshop ran for three days from Tuesday 16^th February 2021 until Thursday 18^th February 2021.  
In this online workshop, students created stunning decorative and edible floral sprays and insects for cakes. Students were taught by the Head Pastry Chef for The Royal Household. See photos from the workshop here.

2020: Weaving – Online

Online, This workshop ran on Saturdays for four weeks from Saturday 14^th November 2020 until Saturday 5^th  December 2020.
In this course, students were introduced to weaving using a weaving frame with yarns and recycled materials. During the week, they were taught a variety of techniques including dyeing.

2020: Calligraphy for Beginners – Online

Online, This online workshop ran on Saturday 14^th November 2020 and Saturday 21^st November 2020.
In this workshop, students learned the fundamental techniques needed to write cursive Italic script.

2020: Arabesque, The Art of Pattern – Online

Online, This workshop ran on Saturdays for five weeks from Saturday 3^rd October 2020 until Saturday 31^st  October 2020.
In this workshop, students learned to draw a series of decorative patterns inspired by the natural world, developing their hand eye coordination. This class combined both freehand and geometric elements and gave students the opportunity to explore glide patterns and mitres.

2020: MARBLING – ONLINE

Online, This online workshop ran for four days from Monday 26^th October 2020 until Thursday 29^th October 2020.
Students had the opportunity to learn the exciting skill of marbling and created beautiful designs on a range of different materials.   See photos from the workshop here.
