2021: STONE CARVING

Building Crafts College, London, This workshop ran on Saturdays for three weeks from Saturday 8^th May 2021 until Saturday 22^nd May 2021.
Students worked with renowned stone carver, Nancy Peskett, to produce wonderful stone carved letters.

2021: Jewellery Making

The Goldsmiths’ Centre, London, This workshop ran on Saturdays for five weeks from Saturday 17^th April 2021 until Saturday 22^nd May 2021.
During this workshop, students learned traditional techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering and annealing to complete a personal piece of jewellery to take home.

2021: Plaster Carving – Online

Online, This workshop ran on Saturdays for three weeks from Saturday 10^th April 2021 until Saturday 24^th April 2021.
In this unique workshop, students had the opportunity to study stucco/plaster carving with practicing sculptor Adam Williamson. The patterns explored during the workshop focused on the geometric and biomorphic patterns and techniques from Morocco and Levant.

2021: Weaving – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Saturday 6^th March 2021 until Saturday 27^th March 2021.

In this course, students were introduced to weaving using a weaving frame with yarns and recycled materials. During the week, they were taught a variety of techniques including dyeing.

2021: Mixing Colour – Online

Online, This workshop ran on Saturdays for three weeks from Saturday 13^th March 2021 until Saturday 27^th March 2021.
Over three sessions, students explored different ways of mixing paint to achieve the colours they want. Working with a limited palette, students were shown two different ways of mixing colour and built up a set of sample boards to use for future reference.

2021: Embroidery – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Saturday 6^th February 2021 until Saturday 6^th March 2021.

During this workshop, led by Creative Dimension Trust tutor Amy Burt, students designed and created an embroidery pattern on a denim piece of clothing from their wardrobe. See photos from this workshop here.

2021: PAINTING WITH SPECIALIST BRUSHES – Online

Online, This workshop ran on Saturdays for five weeks from Saturday 6^th February 2021 until Saturday 6^th March 2021.
In this course, students experimented with a different brush each week, eventually using all of the brushes and learned techniques to paint an image in their last session.

2021: Plant People, Marionette Puppet Making – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Tuesday 16^th February 2021 until Thursday 18^th February 2021.

In this course, taught by Creative Dimension Trust tutor Sian Kidd, students created their own Marionettes, developing a range of exciting new skills. See photos from this workshop here.

2021: CONTEMPORARY SUGAR AND GUM PASTE FLOWERS & INSECTS – Online

Online, This online workshop ran for three days from Tuesday 16^th February 2021 until Thursday 18^th February 2021.
In this online workshop, students created stunning decorative and edible floral sprays and insects for cakes. Students were taught by the Head Pastry Chef for The Royal Household. See photos from the workshop here.
