2020: THEATRICAL MASK MAKING – Online

Online, This workshop ran for five days from Monday 10th August 2020 until Friday 14th August 2020.
In this workshop students learned how masks are used across the creative industries and had the opportunity to explore, design and build their own custom mask.

2020: GILDING ON TEXTILES – Online

Online, This workshop ran from Monday 10th August 2020 until Friday 14th August 2020.
During this workshop, students learned how to fuse metal foil and gild gold leaf onto textiles. Students had the opportunity to fuse metal foil and gild gold leaf onto their own objects during the week.

2020: Designing and Painting a Grisaille Panel or Frieze – Online

Online, This online workshop ran from Monday 10th August 2020 until Friday 14th August 2020.
In this workshop, students learned the beautiful Grisaille technique, translating it into their own panel or frieze.

2020: UPHOLSTERY – Online

Online, This online workshop ran from Monday 3rd August 2020 until Friday 7th August 2020.  
In this workshop, lucky Creative Dimension Trust students were able to join the team at the  Conservation Studios at Shaw Farm Gate in Windsor via Zoom to learn about this fantastic craft.

2020: Weave It! Weave It! – Online

Online, This online workshop ran from Monday 3rd August 2020 until Friday 7th August 2020.
In this course, students were introduced to weaving by award winning weaver, Claire Whelan. Using a weaving frame with yarns and recycled materials, students were taught a variety of processes including dyeing. See photos from the workshop here.

2020: Suminagashi Marbling – Online

Online, This one-day, online workshop was held on Thursday 6th August 2020.
In this exciting and energetic one day course, students learned Japanese suminagashi.

2020: ARCHITECTURAL MODEL MAKING

Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects, London ,
Two students had the opportunity to learn the art of Architectural modelling in an exciting and creative environment, with uninterrupted guidance from one of Allford Hall Monaghan Morris’ senior in-house modelmakers.

2020: PENWORK – ONLINE

Online, This online workshop ran for five days from Monday 27th July 2020 until Friday 31st July 2020.  
Students had the opportunity to learn about this endangered craft from experienced tutor Rian Kanduth. Together, they created prints that they were able to add to their portfolios. See photos from the workshop here.

2020: Embroidery – Online

Online, This online workshop ran from Monday 27th July 2020 until Friday 31st July 2020.
​During this workshop, led by Creative Dimension Trust tutor Amy Burt, students designed and created an embroidery pattern on a denim piece of clothing from their wardrobe.

2020: Home Eco-Fashion Face Masks – Online

Online, This online workshop ran from Monday 20th July 2020 until Friday 24th July 2020.
In this workshop students learned how to reuse items they have at home to make washable, reusable face masks - together making a difference for each other and the environment.
